Skin for Codex

Prepare a custom Codex background that stays readable.

A strong background respects the working surface: use a wide image, leave calm space where content sits, and tune contrast before exporting.

Prepare and frame the image

Choose PNG, JPEG, or WebP under 20 MB. The local builder lets you set focal position, zoom, dimming, and blur; the final package bakes these image effects into the exported asset.

Tune palette and preview

Use automatic palette extraction as a starting point, then correct text and panel contrast. Home, Task, and Diff are simulated surfaces, not a running Codex renderer, so use them to catch obvious balance problems.

Export, install, and recover

Choose the platform before download because macOS and Windows export different capability sets. If an image looks soft, choose a higher-resolution source; if it looks busy, crop away from text and increase dimming.
